Whats going on with green tea?

There has been some news lately about the validity of the claims that green tea can help reduce the risks of cancer. The FDA claims that green tea does not have any of the affects that it claims to have.

Do not fret. The benefits of drinking green tea far outweigh benefits from other natural products and if you have been drinking green tea and have seen some of these benefits, like weight loss, keep on keeping on. One thing is for sure. That is that taking too much of anything is not good for you.

Living in a world of appearance obsessed people, especially here in Los Angeles, I can't count the number of vitamins and supplements I see people taking or buying. On top of that, they are drinking green tea or taking green tea extracts. Because these food products are just that, the FDA doesn't really regulate them. That means that Joe Blog can create an all natural product and begin selling it. This is very reminiscent of the pre-FDA days when people can sell tonics out of their cars, buggies, or carriages. This was how Coke actually was able to put the secret ingredient into their sodas...and no, it isn't caffiene.

So where do we go from here? I still think that eating right, regular excercise, and doing things in moderation, and of course drinking green tea, will help you stay healthy and live longer.

Stay natural. Stay healthy. Drink tea.
